Who Can Approach the EOC?
Any student, faculty, or staff, who:
• Feels harassed or discriminated against, on the basis of identity,
• Faces obstacles in accessing university resources due to physical or systemic barriers,
• Has observed discriminatory behaviour affecting others.
Types of Issues Handled

Steps in the Redressal Process
1. Filing a Complaint
• Submit a written complaint (in person or via email) to the Equal Opportunity Cell.
• Complaints can be made anonymously; however, providing contact details helps ensure better follow-up.
• The EOC ensures strict confidentiality throughout the process.
2. Preliminary Assessment
• The EOC reviews the complaint to understand the nature and gravity.
• If the case falls outside its jurisdiction (e.g., sexual harassment), it will be forwarded to the relevant committee (e.g., ICC).
3. Constitution of a Review Committee (if required)
• A small inquiry panel may be constituted for fact-finding and hearing both parties.
• The panel will include members trained in equity and sensitivity.
4. Hearing & Resolution
• Both complainant and respondent will be heard fairly.
• Mediation, warnings, or recommendations for disciplinary action may be proposed based on findings.
5. Follow-Up & Feedback
• The EOC will ensure that appropriate action has been taken.
• Complainants may be invited to share feedback on the redressal process.
